Brigadier General Ryan G. Deming

Brigadier General Ryan G. Deming is the Deputy Commander, Operations, Plans, Training & Force Development, Headquarters Combat Forces Command (CFC), U.S. Space Force, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. In his current capacity, BGen Deming is responsible for leading CFC through the planning and execution of current and future operations, integrating new capabilities, evolving Space Force Generation (SPAFORGEN) across the force, eliminating barriers to joint and allied collaboration, and posturing the command for success. 

Inspired by aviation at a young age, Ryan Deming enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1993. He started his career at the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) in Kingston, Ontario. After earning his navigator (ACSO) wings, BGen Deming joined 429 Squadron in Trenton flying the mighty CC130 Hercules. Following this operational tour, he became an instructor in 2002 at 426 Squadron’s Tactical Training Flight.

BGen Deming’s staff tours include positions at Canadian Expeditionary Force Command (CEFCOM), as well as Staff Officer for the Chief of Defense Staff, Deputy Director Strategic Coordination for the Chief of Force Development, Executive Assistant to the Commander RCAF, Director Defense Program Coordination, and Director General Air and Space Readiness within the Air Staff.  

BGen Deming has numerous deployments around the globe over the span of his career including multiple deployments to Afghanistan and the Middle East.
